The Making of Thriller

Jackson’s record company refused to finance the project, believing that Thriller had already peaked. To secure funding from television networks, a behind-the-scenes documentary, The Making of Thriller, was produced instead.

This version of The Making of Thriller is available in up to 2160p. However, don’t expect the same level of detail as the official 4K Thriller video: the documentary was shot primarily on 16mm film, so the 2160p version appears to be a high-resolution transfer rather than a true 4K-quality image.

All Thriller in 4K: This Is It

Released in 2009, the American documentary film Michael Jackson’s This Is It provides a behind-the-scenes look at the preparations for the singer’s planned London concert residency.

The shows never took place, as Jackson passed away on June 25, 2009 — just over two weeks before the first performance, scheduled for July 13. The movie compiles rehearsal footage and other backstage material captured during the final weeks of preparation.
