2 Music Notes

The 2a music reading below is the first music reading (there is no 1a music reading). There are only 2 different music notes on the staff, the C in color and the F in black (“2” means 2 different notes, “a” means the new music note to learn – here the C – is in color).

Play the audio file and say or sing – sing is better – the name of each note – C or F – while you hear it.

If you don’t know anything about the 5 lines of the staff (or stave) and the treble clef on the second line of the staff, the image below could help you:

The Bass Clef (F clef) is placed on the fourth line of the staff. So, the music note on the fourth line is a F.

The 2b music reading below use the same 2 notes C and F that the previous 2a music reading but the C is now in black (so you must read music notes without the help of color).

3 Music Notes

The 3a music reading below use the 2 black notes C and F learnt in the previous 2b music reading and add the new color note E.

You must read the notes easily and without any hesitation before proceeding to the next reading.

The 3b music reading use the same 3 notes C, E and F that the previous 3a music reading but the E note is now in black so you must recognize it without the help of color.

Frequency is the most important thing to learn to read music quickly: to read 5 or 10 minutes every day or twice a day is the good way to learn, to read one hour one day and wait many days before to read again, the bad way.

4 Music Notes

The 4a music reading below use the 3 black notes C, E, and F learnt in the previous 3b music reading and add the G color note.

The 4b music reading use the same 4 notes C, E, F and G that the previous 4a music reading but the G is now in black. Again, you must be able to read it very easily without any hesitation before to learn a new music note.
