Piano Sonata No. 3 (Chopin) – Yuja Wang

Chopin’s Piano Sonata No 3 in B Minor, Op. 58, is the last of the composer’s piano sonatas. Completed in 1844 and dedicated to Countess Émilie de Perthuis, the work is considered to be one of Frédéric Chopin’s most difficult compositions, both technically and musically.

Yuja Wang, born February 10, 1987, is widely regarded as one of the finest living pianists. She was born in Beijing, began studying piano there at age six, and went on to study at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing and the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia.
